I. Eligibility
The Seattle World Harmonies Youth Competition is open to non-performance major music students of all ages, nationalities, and countries. Students majoring in performance and professional ensemble musicians are prohibited from participating in the competition.
Employees, committee members, and judges of the Seattle World Harmonies Youth Competition, as well as employees of its affiliates, subsidiaries, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to participate.
If an applicant is under the age of 18, the application form must be signed and endorsed by a parent or guardian.
Multiple winners will be selected in each age group or category. Applications will be reviewed and judged separately according to the age group or repertoire category listed in the competition rules. For details regarding age groups, repertoire categories, awards, and prizes, please refer to the official competition website.
II. Application Process
Please scan the QR code on the right to pay the competition registration fee. Then, click the "Register for the Competition" button and complete the registration form as instructed. You will receive a confirmation email from the organizing committee within 72 hours of completing both steps.
Regarding the video submission, you can choose either YouTube or Bilibili based on your region and country. If you upload your video to YouTube and prefer not to make it public, you can set the video to "unlisted," so only those with the share link can view it. You can then include the YouTube link in the registration form. If you encounter any issues that prevent you from registering or submitting the competition materials, please contact us.
No changes of repertoire are allowed after the application is submitted.
All participants can make payments directly via the PayPal QR code available on the website. The registration fee is non-refundable.
The application starts at November 1st, 2024, and the deadline is December 15th, 2024. Late submission of competition recordings will not be accepted. We appreciate your understanding.
III. Limitation of Liability
The Seattle World Harmonies Youth Competition Committee assumes no responsibility for lost, late, illegible, falsified, damaged, or incomplete entries, notifications, or responses, or for any technical issues that may affect the transmission of audition materials. The committee is not responsible for any incorrect information resulting from user, equipment, programming, or technical errors.
The committee is not liable for any delays, communication failures, unauthorized access, or changes to audition materials. Additionally, the committee is not responsible for any injuries or damages to participants or their equipment arising from participation or downloading materials. If the competition cannot proceed as planned due to uncontrollable factors (e.g., viruses, tampering, or technical malfunctions), the committee assumes no liability.
All awards are non-transferable and non-substitutable unless a prize of equal value is provided due to availability issues. Taxes and customs fees are the sole responsibility of the winners, and the committee will not cover these costs.
