The World Harmonies Competition is a prestigious international event organized by the World Harmonies Foundation. Our primary goal is to inspire and promote the development of diverse musical traditions and encourage the creation of new compositions, fostering innovation and creativity in the world of music.
We believe in nurturing young talent and providing them with opportunities to excel. Contestants are invited to submit video applications showcasing their musical abilities. Based on these submissions, multiple winners will be selected across various age categories. These winners will receive recognition for their excellence, with the Judge's Favorite recipients being awarded cash prizes. Additionally, those who achieve the Judge's Favorite will be extended a special invitation from the competition's organizing committee to come to Seattle for a live awards ceremony and Winner's Recital, offering them a platform to share their talents with a wider audience.
The competition is highly competitive. The selection ratio for the Judges' Favorite and Gold Award recipients is very selective. Each year, the panel of judges consists of distinguished professionals, including professors from various university music conservatories and professional performers. To ensure fairness, each instrument category is evaluated by at least two judges or more. Learn more about 2024 to 2025 judges here.
